A Soft Barrel Shape That Suits Any Layout

The RD45 has a smooth, rounded barrel form: the front and side panels curve in one continuous arc with no sharp corners anywhere. At 160 cm wide and 100 cm tall it reads as wide and low, giving an elegant, elongated presence. Because nothing juts out, it is easy and safe to walk around, which matters in the compact footprint of a nail bar where the desk often sits close to the door and the walkway to the manicure stations.

Vertical Fluting with a Gold Base Trim

The whole body is wrapped in vertical fluting — parallel reeded grooves that run from the base right up to the counter. This is the same reeded detailing found in high-end millwork, and it gives the desk a rich, textured surface that catches light along every ridge instead of looking flat.

Grounding the fluting is the RD45's signature touch: a slim gold trim band that runs around the very base of the desk, just above the floor, working as a decorative plinth line. The counter top adds a small raised transaction ledge at the client-facing edge, giving guests a clean spot to rest their hands or belongings while they check in and pay.

Built on MDF for a Smooth Finish

The desk is constructed on an MDF (medium-density fiberboard) core. MDF is the right choice for this design: it shapes the curved barrel body cleanly, gives a dense, uniform base for the fine vertical fluting, and holds an even painted finish far better than open-grain solid wood — so the color stays smooth and consistent across the whole curved surface.
