What sets the RD72 apart from a plain painted counter is that it combines wood and metal in one piece. The main body is a low, horizontal counter at a standard 160 × 100 cm, but it is dressed like a piece of luxury hotel furniture — marble surfaces, metallic banding and an open display column that turns the reception into a design feature the moment guests walk in.

The body panels are wrapped in a deep, high-gloss black marble effect, with fine white veining running diagonally across the surface for a convincing stone look.
