The Warm LED Base Glow

The feature that names this desk is the light. A warm-white LED strip runs horizontally along the bottom front edge, right where the marble-faced panel meets the floor. The glow is a soft, golden 2700–3000K warm white that washes gently across the floor and makes the whole desk appear to float — a subtle, upscale detail that comes alive in a dimmed or mood-lit reception. Unlike a cool white strip, this warm tone keeps the space feeling inviting rather than clinical.

Marble & Walnut Two-Tone

Where many reception desks use a single finish, the RD71 blends two. The client-facing front and the raised ledge are wrapped in a grey-and-cream veined marble effect for a high-end stone look, while the sides and the main work surface are finished in a warm, mid-brown walnut wood grain. The cool marble front against the warm walnut top is a balanced, tasteful contrast — stone-luxe where guests see it, warm and natural where the team works.

A Raised Transaction Ledge

The desk has a stepped, two-level top. The main walnut work surface sits at counter height, and behind it a taller marble-faced ledge rises up. That raised panel gives clients a clean surface to sign and pay at, while screening the keyboard, card reader and everyday clutter on the staff side from view. It is the practical detail that keeps the reception looking tidy from the front at all times.

Lockable Storage Behind the Counter

Below the counter the RD71 is well organised for real reception work:

• Two lockable drawers — side by side, each with a knob pull and a keyed lock for cash, cards and valuables.
• Cabinet with a bar handle — a full-height cupboard, in a clean white gloss, for stock and supplies.
• Open shelf — an open cubby on the other pedestal for items the receptionist reaches for often.

The lower cabinet fronts are finished in white high gloss, adding a third clean tone beneath the marble and walnut and keeping the base looking light and modern.

Built on MDF for a Clean Finish

The desk is constructed on an MDF (medium-density fiberboard) core. MDF gives a dense, uniform surface that lets both the marble-effect and walnut laminates sit flat and seamless, holds the finish more evenly than open-grain solid wood, and provides a solid, stable base for the storage and the integrated lighting.
